'BROADCAST DESIGN'
PETRO CANADA
CLIENT: TBWA
PROJECT: PETRO CANADA - GLASSES PERFORM
The Olympics are here! Yay! Which means a fresh round of Olympic themed tie-in products! Double yay! To help TBWA Toronto help Petro Canada help Canada’s athletes, we applied our skizzills and animated these TV spots to show what the Olympics would look like if the athletes were substituted with etched glass mugs.
(Result? They would look awesome.)
OCAD
CLIENT: SOAPBOX
PROJECT: OCAD-IMAGINATION IS EVERYTHING
We’re pretty hopped up about this short recruitment video we put together for the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD). Working with local design studio Soapbox, we combined live action, illustration, student artwork, motion graphics and stills, then backed it all up with a hype track from Phoenix. What can we say, we’re happy to do what we can for the next generation of brooding, temperamental artsy types. (Like most of us over here.)
PROPER TELEVISION - CANADA’S WORST HANDYMAN 3
CLIENT: PROPER TELEVISION
PROJECT: CANADA’S WORST HANDYMAN 3
Proper Television returned to broadcast design company, MELDMEDIA Inc., for a new branding package for it’s new media property Canada’s Worst Handyman.
TRICON - BUILDING FAMILY
CLIENT: TRICON FILMS
PROJECT: BUILDING FAMILY
The trials and tribulations of an Italian kitchen and bath company as it’s passed from one generation to the next. Really, who could ask for more in a tv show! MELD directed a photoshoot with the shows participants and then integrated the black and white shots into a vivid graphic environment that showed off each person’s quirks.
PROPER FILM - CANADA’S WORST DRIVER
CLIENT: SIDEWALK STUDIOS / PROPER FILM
PROJECT: CANADA’S WORST DRIVER
Following the plight of several hopeless drivers in their haphazard attempts at reform, Canada’s Worst Driver was the much talked about show of the fall. MELD built a surreal and stylized show open in 3D that cleanly packaged and poked fun at these exploits.
LIGA - DESERT ISLAND MUSIC
CLIENT: LIGA
PROJECT: DESERT ISLAND MUSIC
”Disks you’d bring if stuck on a desert island?” Artists asked other artists this very question with some pretty surprising answers and personality interplay. Jonathan Davis of Korn, Battlecat, Spindarella of Salt n’ Pepa, Roxy Saint and Photek, graced the open. This show’s going to be huge.
