SENECA Changes you

We finished a theatre spot for Seneca College a while back. You could imagine our surprise when we saw it translated into a full page ad on the back cover of Eye magazine. We’re pretty stoked that a motion piece translated so well into a print ad.

BMW MINI - WINTER BOOK

MINI WINTER BOOK

CLIENT: TAXI
PROJECT: WINTER BOOK

Since we’re such burly Canadian lumberjacks, we can provide great insight into how to survive winter. Go the hell outta Canada! / Aller! L’hiver est horrible ici! (We’re bilingual up here eh.) Ok, maybe we aren’t so burly. Instead, check this site we did with Taxi using iconography and a cool digi-book feature to show how Mini can help you cope.

2007 DIGITAL MARKETING AWARDS - 2 SILVERS

The stoke was as high as Tommy Chong, (the cool one), circa 1986 when the news broke over here on Dufferin St. So, in keeping with our grand pursuit of unparalleled excellence, we are proud to announce the following:

BMW TURBOVISION 3D GLASSES CARS MINI

CLIENT: BMW MINI
AGENCY: TAXI

Our work for this site included producing and directing stereoscopic 3D video - the first time this had ever been done for a major website. So novel was the spectacle, that it required spectacles of its own - aha! 3D glasses were given out at Mini dealers or through the mail to give site visitors the complete experience.

NIVEA CREAM

CLIENT: NIVEA CREAM FOR MEN
AGENCY: TBWA TORONTO

MELD’s work on this rich media banner included repurposing broadcast production techniques for the web including green screen shoot, compositing, 3D motion graphics and some ultra cool transitions to take the ad’s star, “Guy in Towel” out of his comfort zone for conceptual and comedic purposes. In conclusion, thanks to all of our great clients. And to our parents. Oh, and to our wives.

NISSAN - VERSA NIGHTS

NISSAN VERSA NIGHTS CLUB INTERACTIVE

CLIENT: TBWA CHIAT DAY TORONTO
PROJECT: VERSA NIGHTS

TBWA Toronto and Nissan were stumped - Driving and clubbing are separate activities. How do we do both at once? Good question. We started with some motion tracking, green-screen, 3d animation and video game development. Now you can drive and rock hizzouse at the same time. Case closed yo.

NIVEA - MEN’S BODY LOTION

NIVEA CREAM

CLIENT: TBWA CHIAT DAY TORONTO
PROJECT: MEN’S BODY LOTION

At the behest of Meld Media I have been asked to describe, in 50 words or less, the superior awesomeness of this rich media banner created for TBWA by repurposing traditional broadcast techniques for the web, and the peerless conceptual and technical genius with which it was executed.

YOUNG GUNS - AWARD SHOW

YOUNG GUNS AWARD SHOW VIRGIN LET US BE YOUR FIRST ADVERTISERS

CLIENT: TAXI
PROJECT: YOUNG GUNS AWARD SHOW

Are you an award show virgin? Taxi, MELD and Pixelpusher (our web partner) are here to thrrrust (r’s rolled in a ribald manner) you into the high heavens. Our prowess with green screen and 3d rendering guarantee you’ll squeal with delightful anticipation of your many sizeable and rigid award trophies.

FUEL 90.3

Fuel Radio Calgary Rock and Roll Grunge

CLIENT: TAXI
PROJECT: FUEL 90.3

Dude. We’re straight up rock n roll over here so this was a no-brainer. We love ROCK! We are TOTALLY into ROCKIN! So, we melded illustration, design and motion techniques with grunge era sensibilities and birthed this puppy. (Ok, we are actually kinda geeks who prefer ambient electronica and discussing Volkswagens.)

TETRA PAK - PROTECTS WHATS GOOD

TETRAPACK ENRIVONMENTAL NETHERLANDS

CLIENT: TETRA PAK NETHERLANDS
PROJECT: PROTECTS WHATS GOOD

When Tetra Pak’s head office saw the promo we did for French Rabbit last year, they wanted one for themselves. The mandate was to clearly highlight the environmental benefits of the packaging, especially the reduction in CO2 emissions. We’re pretty stoked on the clean lined typographic approach our designer took.

AMP’D MOBILE - POUND THE PINATA

Pound The Pinata

CLIENT: TAXI
PROJECT: POUND THE PINATA

Apparently dropping actors 8 feet onto solid concrete is a no-no. Fortunately, we’re adept at 3D character animation and compositing. So go ahead, drop them ’til your heart’s content!
